NOSE SHOP ONE FUKUOKA

The Interior design of NOSE SHOP ONE FUKUOKA, which exclusively sells niche fragrances.

The primary material selected is cement board, also used in NOSE SHOP’s first store in Fukuoka. This choice expresses a sister-store connection and aims to convey a cohesive brand image across locations. Additionally, corrugated panels were introduced as a new element, evoking the rich waterside environment of Fukuoka. Installed as backdrops to the fixtures, these panels gently divide the fragrances, quietly highlighting the unique charm of each one.

The store is located in a long, narrow space facing a common corridor, with an escalator behind it. Because the site naturally blends with its surroundings, the corrugated panels were arranged in a checkerboard pattern to enhance the wall’s presence. This allows the fragrances to be seen even from the escalator side, serving to visually communicate the store’s presence.

Lighting built into the fixtures uses a color tone different from the surrounding environment to clearly define the store’s silhouette. The light from the fixtures and signage casts shadows on the corrugated panels, giving the cement’s otherwise industrial texture a refined and tranquil character. The space is shaped through texture and light to allow the diversity of fragrances to stand out.
