Dress Pot
Product design of a paper flower vase. The Dress Pot is a flower vase made by NAGOYA CORE CO.,LTD., a manufacturer of paper honeycomb cores in Aichi Prefecture. Taking advantage of the properties of the honeycomb structure, a plastic bottle can be “dressed” into a brilliant flower vase. The unique texture of the paper and the cross section of the spread honeycomb create a fabulous atmosphere together with the flowers.
Its plump design gives it added stability, and it’s made from unbreakable materials, so it’s safe for use in homes with children and pets. Another attractive feature is that it can be folded up compactly when not in use. The paper design gives it a casual feel, making it perfect as a gift along with flowers to someone who may not own a flower vase. Available in two different sizes and five different colors, users can use them in any combination they like.
Graphic Design (Logo, Packaging, Leaflet)
The symbol mark that makes up the logo is based on the form of the product seen from above, while also evoking the form of a flower. The logotype is composed of a font selected to match the impression of the product. While sharing common elements with its sister product, Change Pot, each expresses its own individual charm. The packaging is finished with a paper that recalls the kraft paper used as a core material in honeycomb panels. The same paper is also used on part of the product itself, and careful thought was given to the experience from taking it out to folding it away for storage. The leaflet is accordion-folded to embody the accordion-like properties of the paper honeycomb core.
Through graphic design that responds to the materials and structure of the product, we aimed to enrich the time spent using it.
